Poor brake pedal and ringing chime 200 1983

Restoration contuinues on my Flathood with a strange collection of symptoms. All brake components were replaced; calipers, m/c,rotors,ss lines. Power bled. Pedal is low but solid. Had car down for 2 weeks for replacment of harness and vacuum lines. Also removed non-working cruise control and associated wiring. Now, when I press on the brake pedal, the warning chime rings. Never experienced this before. Also, when brake is pressed while idling, car will stall. Interesting collection of symptoms. Possible booster problem? Wiring diagram does not show link between brakes and warning chime.

Also. Fuse #7 is hot to touch. Main fuel pump or tank? Tank pump is noisy.
