Progress! 200 1981

My Porsche mechanic friend came by this past weekend and we did finally get the exhaust manifold reinstalled after five hours work. Existing stud on lower #4 cyl had snapped, ez-out didn't work, so drilled as much as we could out, then proceeded with a 8mm tap. That was working nicely and we were almost complete when Murphy stepped up and SNAP, buried part of the tap in the head. Much more drilling and pounding and two time-serts and a couple of hours later, new exhaust stud is installed. Sticks out a little more than the others, but it snugs up fine. Thanks to all who have volunteered advice, now it's back to the intake side of the engine. BTW, does anyone know if the tabs at the bottom front of the engine for routing the wiring harness were originally covered with rubber?

Thanks,
Jeff
