have owned 88 740 gle b230f for 4 months...replaced timing belt, camgear tension pin (it sheared when TB failed), gaskets, all belts, hoses, plugs(quad platinum bosch), elec fan in front of a/c condensor,all vacuum lines and oil sending unit for oil pressure light......car runs super good ...then oil pressure light began flickering then stays on ....im just having a hard time believing a freaking oil pump (or anything that requires the same work) fails at 150k miles...please some one give me a way out other than pulling oil pan or engine to deal with oil pump/pressure..or advice on best approach....damn fine car otherwise
