Besides the front passenger power window switch not working (because I'm an idiot and broke it), my power windows usually work fine. However, tonight I had three of the four rolled down and blew out the fuse when I tried to roll them up. So, I switched another fuse in, hoping that it was just a bad fuse, and then proceeded to blow that one too.
That would mean there is a short somewhere in the power windows. Are there any places I could easily check (I'll end up taking it into the shop, anyway, at least to get the original Volvo fuses--NAPA has weird, funny looking ones)?
I think that condensation caused it. The windows were slightly damp and rolled down fine, but then wouldn't come up. I've had this problem once before and I think that the windows worked fine after I changed the fuse (and when there was no condensation). Does that sound probable? What can I do to prevent it?
