AW 70/71 3 speed auto box with lockup O/D 200 1989

I fitted an identical box after dropping trannie pan on original (to fit replacement kickdown cable) to find clotch rings were braking up after fluid loss from output shaft bearing seal. All has gone ok and car drives butI cannot adjust kickdown cable satisfactorilly. I dont get top gear until 60 mph and not sure if this is 3rd (as I think) or Overdrive. At what road sppeds should the changes take place and what RPM, please? Any help gratefully received, Nickbw
