Ok as some may remeber i had fuel pump probs... SOLVED! Now the car runs on 2 cylinders after i replaced intake manifold gasket, throtle body gasket, all injector seals, and cleaned everything up. I Checked to make sure i am getting spark, and i am. Everything spark related should be good to go, i even put new plugs in. The car ran on all 4 when i parked it. I am starting to think it's the fuel distributor, but i am unsure. Oh and i also checked all my injecotrs to make sure they are good. After spraying carb cleaner through them, they checked good (as well as the lines running to them) Now i wanted to check the flow of gas from the fuel dsitributor with the car off. The Injector flow test results:
After pulling #1 (i know this one fires) and #4 i find out both are flowing equal amounts of gas when that flap in the fuel distributor/air box is pulled up.
I KNOW there is spark, just checked that again with a new plug tonight and i installed that new plug.
So i am wondering if the fuel distributor flows different when the car is running vs when the car is on key pos II
I'm still thinking it's pointing at the fuel dsitributor.. i have spark i must be getting air, the car ran on all 4 when i parked it and i didn't leave anything in the intake when i pulled that off...
any suggestions anyone? I need my car back soon, and i'm tempted on shelling the dough to get another fuel distributor. But i wanna make sure.
Another thing, at one point the car seemed to have coughed when i was having difficulties getting it started. But it will actually sit and idel VERY roughly without backfiring or anything. SO the backfire isn't a thing that happenes all the time. But the cough it made is something to throw in as to why it's not working properly.
So if anyone has some input i'd apprecaite it, i am lost. Thanks
Thanks for any help guys.
