Is the '89 240 series a lemon 200

I have been informed by several Volvo "experts" that the 1989 series 240 are lemons because of a bad computer... is that correct. I have found a 1989 240 wagon in great shape, but 220K. He wants 1250 for it. Is that reasonable if all other factors are positive?
