Hit in the rear 92 964 900

After 13 years of unscathed driving, Previous owner and myself. Someone drove into the back of our Volvo. With everything happening with the power outages and no water or traffic lights (Anyone see "The Stand" -Stephen King) accidents were occuring everywhere.

This happened in A mall parking lot, We were at a stand still waiting to move, with foot on brake and brake lights fully functional. Nobody hurt except my pride of ownership. Driver claims he was startled by excessive horn blowing elsewhere in the area?????.......

Damage confined to Left rear drivers side:

Gauged upper and lower bumper.
1 to 1 1/2 depression in corner beneith taillight.
cracked rear tailight lens.
bulging lower side bumper plastic ( Broken Clips? )

These are the only visible signs of damage.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to anything that could have been messed up that I cannot see.

for example: Damage to nivomat or damage to suspension or damage to front discs from stomping on brake to prevent car from lurching forward? any suggestions appreciated.

The individual would like to settle without insurance, But I beleive that when he finds out what genuine volvo parts cost to replace, He will wish he did not get out of bed that day.

Thanks
AG
