I apologize in advance if this post is worded in less than optimal mechanical terms, but I'm a newbie to fixing cars myself. Here goes:
'90 740 Turbo wagon, parked in sloped driveway nose-down (about 6% grade in the driveway.) Noticed if i apply pressure on the drivers side floor, a SMALL drip of anti-freeze squirts out of a hole in the undercarraige, near the hinge of the drivers side door. Do not know if this hole is a rusted-out hole or an existing one. Tried same experiment on passenger side with no apparent leak of any kind.
So far, this only seems to happen on days when the car has been sitting w/ the drivers side in the sun, in a nose-pointed-downhill position and when applying pressure to the carpeted floor, near the dead-pedal area. I have noticed no appreciable loss of coolant level, even after several noticed leaks, so its really not leaking much.
I have had NO problems running the heater, no problems running A/C (as initially suspected in a previous post,) no filmy build-up on the windows or hideous anti-freeze smell in the car and NO apparent wetness on the carpeting or the floor. Could this be a leaky heater core, or perhaps a cracked heater core hose? Any help or insight would be GREATLY appreciated.
