89 740 turbo vs. 740 GL 700 1989

I was looking for an 89 740 GL, and I came across a 740 Turbo. It is cherry, but I am a bit sceptical of the turbo. I care more about reliability than speed. I can't decide if the turbo is an added bonus, or added headache. Any suggestions? 1989 Turbo "intercooler" Wagon, 180,000 @ $3,000.
