After changing all the "O" rings, the drier, the expansion valve, and using fresh ester oil and 134a, I am getting a shivering 65 degrees at the vents at 1200 RPM. Whoopee...barely good enough to keep from sweating.

I wanted to go with PAG 46 oil and Freeze 12 gas, I bet that would bring it down to maybe 55 degrees.

These old 240 R-12 systems apparently don't convert too well. I will use the system I have for the rest of the season...next year I am trying the new oil and gas.

I don't want to go to an extra fan...why don't the factory puller work? Besides, at 40 mph or better the fans don't make any difference do they?
