I've been blessed with a car that got little use out of the glovebox (I only use it now when I go to the bank because it's where I keep my savings book) and therefore has lock that keeps the glovebox closed over all but the roughest bumps. However, just a few days ago, I saw a piece of black rubber sitting on the passenger side floor. I realized that it came from the rubber that encircles the lock on the glovebox (you know, you grab ahold of the rubber to turn the lock to open the glovebox). I guess the rubber has finally aged enough to crack and fall apart. I've still got enough of it to circle the entire thing to the point where both functionality and aesthicity are preserved, but the rubber is basically sitting on top of the lock part. As the rubber isn't supposed to come off, I'm thinking about gluing it. Are there any particular glue types that work well on Volvo plastic, or should I just grab whatever my dad has in the garage?
