300k miles badge; beautifull, but somehow disappointment for son. 200 1981

My son received a 300k miles badge lately for his DL 1981. Green and gold, great looking.

He sent his badge request stating 482k kilometers. That is 300k miles.

For some reason he is not enthousiastic about posting it somewhere on the car. We are in Canada, a country where kilometer has been used for a long time. My son says that most japaneese and american cars can do 300K kilometers, so no big deal here in posting a 300,000 achievement. What happened is they converted kilometers to miles.

Have you people received badges that show the number of kilometers you accomplished or is it always converted to miles?
