Cruise control question 700 1985

Hey Guys,Does anyone know how to adjust the cable from the throttl to the vacum thingie,is there any freeplay in the throttle cable,or do l just rotate the drum against the spring til it hits the stop?It's a 85 760 turbo. Thanks Richard.
