new noise to me '89 b230ft w/intercooler 700

Have a new noise, apparently from the turbo. Don't see it addressd in the FAQ's.
Noise is only on acceleration from base idle (no noise then), appears to come from the turbo cage housing, and is light to very heavy metallic "ticking" until idle increased maybe 6 or 700 rpm. It then either goes away or engine noise covers it.

I'm wondering if the cage has shifted or whatever so the cage now lightly hits the housing or something.

Anyone experieinced this?
