Me again,
I thought I'd pass this along.
Last February I installed Bilstein HD shocks/struts on my wagon (145K miles).
Last Thursday the left front upper shock mount gave up the ghost and I opted to go to the "local" Volvo dealer (60 miles away) and get OEM parts. I got both uppers figuring that if one failed the other might not be far behind.
I had them installed by a local mechanic and, while there, thay found a lower tie rod end that had also "given up".
They replaced all of the stuff, and I gotta tell you, what a difference in the feel of the car.
I'm wondering if this is an example of those slow wearing parts that you don't notice because it takes so long for them to wear out. Wadda ya think??
In a similar vein, does anyone think that a noticable difference would be felt by replacing the front end bushings, ie., anti-sway rod bushings, et.al.?
Thanks for any advice.
