no brake lights- need help 700

I have a 1990 760 turbo sedan.Brake lights are not working,third light does.No voltage to the rear braking bulbs.I removed the bulb sensor relay from near the passenger front seat behind the radio.Its a yellow square box.I opened it and all solder points look to be good.From the looks of it,i cannot see any way voltage could be prevented from traveling thru and out.Can the sensor be bad anyway? Any other sugestions?
