my 1971 142e is great. i just bought it from a friend so i got a great deal only $500. 3 things seem to be wrong with the car.
1.i took it around the block and then i put the parking brake on, the when we went out again it seemed like the brake locked up even though the lever was put back down down.
2. theres a gas leak where the hose from the gas line connects to the fuel injection, but i cant get the clamp that holds the hose on the pipe off because its rusted.
3. i turn the car on and it stalls unless i keep the gas pedal down. after a about 10-20 seconds i can let my foot off the gas and it idles fine except that it will be at normal rpms for idles speed then the idle speed drops real low like its about to stall then goes back to normal and it keeps doing that.

i hope that all makes sense. i really dont know much about as in all the parts and all that(im 17 years old)i just know how to drive them. once these prblems are fixed i can get it registered and to a mechanic to fix whatever else.
