Leaky trunk in 740 700 1991

Rainy season is upon us here in Sunny Vancouver and for some reason, the interior of my trunk (1991 740 Sedan) is always wet. I pulled my roadmap out the other day and it was actually moldy. WTF?

Has anyone else had problems with a leaky trunk? Any idea of what it could be? It seems to be concentrated in the back right-hand corner of the spare tire cover.
