Aftermarket radio installation trouble 700

Hi, I purchased a aftermarket cd player for my 1990 760 with the premium sound system. But when I pulled out the radio I found that the wire harness I bought looks nothing like what is in the car. Is the wire harness for the late 760s different from the early ones. If I do have to connect the wires directly, where can I find what the colored wires represent.
