Help! I have a '89 240 that has up and refused to start on occasion. It stopped on my wife a couple of years ago and my mechanic installed a new computer. We haven't had any trouble until a couple of months ago when it refused to start one day. It had spark and fuel. I let it sit overnight and it started the next morning like nothing had happened. Did the same thing a couple of weeks later, only once. We've been driving it every now and then for the last month (it's a spare we're keeping for our daughter to drive when shes 16)with no problem until yesterday morning. Turns over but won't start. Got in it a few minutes ago, and of course it started right up. Should I be able to hear the fuel pump running when the switch is on? Does the computer provide power to the relay? I would take it to my mechanic but the problem might be difficult to recreate.
Thanks for any help!
