Brake pedal travel 200

Friends:

I have two Volvos, an '82 242 GLT, and an '88 245 that I recently changed three calipers each on. On the '82 I also changed 4 rotors. On the '88 I also changed the master cylinder. I power bled the brakes two times each the second time using ATE blue racing fluid, so I know they are airless. Both brake pedals now travel about 3 inches before maximum resistance is met. Prior to the repair the pedal traveled about 2 inches as does my untouched '91 245. I was expecting a "higher and harder" pedal after all the repairs, especially on the car with the 4 new rotors. The both cars' braking power is fine but I would like a firmer feel. Any suggestions? Can anyone put this in perspective?
TIA.
