Anyone ever install a contact kit in the starter. 700

When my wife's Toy was having starter problems (intermittant start, just a click, good battery, alternator, etc.), my mechanic charged me 60 bucks to replace what he called a contact kit in the solenoid.

I'm now having the same problem with my 760.

Two questions. Anyone ever do this and is it easy for a DIY-er?
Where would you get the kit? The boys at the parts place say they don't have a contact kit listed.
