Okay.... I'm buying a 87 760T from a friend.... Start driving it, and it stalls out on me at night, with the headlights on. Step-dad's a mechanic, get that figured out... But, it happens again in the day, 3 times, while I'm trying to get somewhere. Started looking around the internet, figured it was the fuel pump relay, get a new one, pull the old one out (date was 86 on the relay) Crossed my fingers....nope, still dies. Took the throttle body out and cleaned it yesterday, idle is still hunting, car still stalls. Can't duplicate it in the driveway, happens only when I'm driving. I'm really starting to suspect the fuel pump, which I'd rather not have to replace, but if I have to, I will... which is the more common problem spot... the main fuel pump or the in-tank pump? Also, my radio suppression relay looks a little worse for wear... would it be worth it to replace that also, and should I replace the leads on the wires? Thanks in advance!
