Greetings all-
A couple of weeks ago I bought my wife a nice 244 with 102k on it; she was getting tired of the 245 with 214. When I got the car, the engine check light was on giving a code for a o2 sensor, which I did replace. Then I tried to clear the codes, which I couldn't do (I am new to this code thing), so like Benley says, I turned everything off and disconected the neg terminal on the battery. After about 5 minutes, I reconnected it, and started the car to see if the Check Engine light would come on; which it did. So I went back to see what the code was, did the sequence to get the code, then the light flashed very quickly and was making a clicking sound somewhere in the car. This seemed odd to me. So I turned the key to the off position then back to the ignition position and tried to read the code. It gave me the Alls Clear (1-1-1).
Back to the sensor: when I replaced the sensor, it was clear to me that the sensor had been replaced before, which seemed odd to with a car with 102k on it. Any thoughts on this?
Lastly, what's up with the psycho flashing?
Thanks-
Joe HC
