1993 940 auto transmission problems

HI all,

I have a 93 940 with 120k miles. Recently, I have had some issues with the way the transmission is acting.

The transmission tends to late shift and tends to hold a gear longer before shifting. It also has a hard shift when i come to a stop. If i almost come to a stop (going only a few miles per hour) and then accelerate, it feels like it slips then clunks and hard shifts.

I was wondering if this was due to any (relatively) inexpensive replaceable component, or, if it probably means the whole thing is going to be shot soon. In other words, I was windering if I could fix something to save it, or that I should drive it till it blows.
