i took my car to montclair volvo,n.j. and their body shop, more like a vendor they sub body works and paint jobs, did not only do a very lousy job, they even painted over the rear driver side door, which wasn't damaged and therefore didn't to be painted, but since they couldn't match the original paint, they figured i wouldn't notice it if they painted the entire left side of the car. the warranty on the job is 1 year from the date of 1st service, but the shop obviously cannot get the job right because now, my car has 2 different shades of green. in the meantime, the dealership is trying to wash their hands off from this fiasco and wants me to deal directly with their vendor which i refused to do. what can i do to rectify this? what are my rights? since they painted over parts that didn't need to be painted, they've essentially damaged that part and will have caused devaluation on a car that will someday be a classic (since volvo is no longer manufacturing the type series). how much of a devaluation has this error caused me?
