thank you all. i spent my day yesterday and today doing a little research on my options. and yes, i have been advised as well to follow this up with the at-faults insurance co. (i doubt they would cut me another check for another shop but no harm in trying) or seek legal assistance. i've also gathered some links on the paint job process, litigations on the same subject matter and alike.
this dealer is big on customer satisfaction, or so they claim, displaying framed letters from satisified customers in the showroom so, it wouldn't be a bad idea to drop by during peak hours and speak a little louder than usual for other customers to hear.
