harness and fast idle 700

I have some wiring harness issues that I plan on getting to very soon. In the spring I had a no start condition that was eventually fixed by cleaning up grounds and rewiring from the harness to the starter and alternator. After this the car started fine but would not go into fast idle mode when cold - not much of a problem in the summer, but as temperature has dropped the problem has become more noticeable. Is it most likely I disturbed a wire to the idle air valve?
