First gear Issue 200 1983

I can't get my 240 into first gear. All other gears are easy to shift into. I drove the car all day without any shifting issues. I parked the car for a few hours and now the car will not go into first. I have put the car into all gears prior to shifting into first. I have adjusted the clutch. With the clutch adjust the transmission went into first untill I did a test drive. On one test drive I was able to shift into first when I hit the brakes hard. I'm going to change out the transmission mount. What other things could I check?
