960 Gas Pedal Relocation further towards the front of the car-Is this Possible? 900 1997

Hello to all. I have just acquired a beautiful 97 960. I am uncomfortable because the gas pedal is too close to the driver and that means I have to push the seat back very far-this makes it difficult to reach the wheel. This relationship is very different from my '86 740 Turbo, which is perfect. Is there any known fix for this or are the pedals adjustable or interchangeable with another that is set further back(away from the driver)?
