Hello All,
Well its come to a point of decision with the Volvo. Life often intervenes with old cars and haven't been too focused on the Amazon. I'm leaning towards continuation of the resto.
The wiring needs to be redone, a recent problem gave me a chance to evaluate the condition of the wiring and its pretty sad. Lots of splices and the original insulation is getting pretty brittle. But not too surprising with a 38 year old car.
I figure start by replacing the main harness and then the secondary harnesses could be done later to keep the job from becoming too huge. Main harness is in the worst shape in any case.
I would like some opinions on whether to buy a harness ready-made or to do it myself. I've found sources for the harness for around 300-350, I'm thinking materials to do the job from scratch would be 75-125. I'm trying to figure out if the time savings is worth the extra cost.
Anybody have thoughts on this?
Thanks,
-Mario E.
