Oil Leak S90-V90 1998

I have just purchased as90 with 120k miles on it I find that it sort of bogs down when I really give it gas. Since this is my first 6 cylinder Volvo I am looking for some guidence. Have had lots of 4 bangers maybe should of stuck with them. Also have developed an oil leak down low somewhere near the back of the engine A dealer suggested that it might be a seal failure caused by the car sitting for a while and than being driven any suggestions Thanks DOUG
