Please Help
My 1992 745 experiences an intermitent wheel vibration that at times is quite annoying, but trying to fix it is driving me nuts. It is most pronounced when lightly decelerating at a slow speed. Hop Hop Hop with every revolution of the wheels. If I jam on the brakes it does not happen at least certainly not as much. I have replaced the cone bushings, end link bushings (polyurethane made it worse, switched back to rubber) sway bar bushings, tie rod outer ends and ball joints. Also new brake pads, and no appreciable run out in the rotors. Tires have been balanced and rebalanced (though maybe still suspect???)
What's next? Could the struts be worn out enough to cause this? The vehicle is ponderous, would this help with tightening up the handling as well?
Only 151,000 miles and the car runs so well that I would like to solve this dilemma so that I can keep the car forever.
I would appreciate any thoughts and suggestions.
Thanks,
