ok, i know this same question is in aftermarket, but theres NOTHING going on over there, so im posting it here. after reading some of the responses and hearing other outside info, turbocharging my 744gle really will work...only thing is that i gotta keep the boost down...thats pretty respectible since im keeping the non-turbo engine mostly stock, except that there will be a turbo bolted up to it with the intercooler as well...and i grabbed ALL these working parts off a $75 parts car over the weekend- SWEET deal...anyway, the other guys who posted in aftermarket said they kept everything stock as well...same injectors, mass-air (although i can change that if i need) trans, feul system, ect...and got there cars doing 15.1 in the 1/4 mile...thats about a half-second faster than a STOCK turbo 740...i'de just like to know how much boost these people run...i've been told to stay with about 5psi's to keep it safe, since the engine still has the stock pistons with the stock, NON-turbo compression. All that stuff is elementary and im sure you all know what im talking about...so anyway, the real ? here is, HOW MUCH BOOOOOOST!???...haha...thanks for any advise!!!-steve
