Volvo Accident 200 1979

Here's my horror story. I'm driving on a city street when a semi (2000 International Harvester) flat bed veers into my lane and hits my 240. My brick has a nice indentation of the tire in its fender. I was wearing a 3 point seat-belt (no airbag in my car). I had to go to the ER; the seat belt caused pain in my ribs and abdomen. Nothing broken on me. Thus far, I have estimates at $1400+; they have yet to give me an estimate on the car's pulling to the left. Of course, the truck only had scraches on his three-foot tires. I'm just glad that Volvo put that metal beam in my door!

Funny enough, the accident happened in front of a law school. I guess the sharks were out to lunch, because no one ran up to me and gave me their car (cf. Danny DeVito in "The Rainmaker").

What will hurt more than my injuries is dealing with the !%*& insurance companies. This is my first accident in a Volvo (thank God I stopped driving those little rice burners!)
