IPD seat grid installation 200 1989

Can someone give me a hand with instructions for installing an new ipd sead grid in the driver seat of a 240 volvo. Some questions I have are:
1. What is the correct orientation of the grid front to back? One end of the grid has two blunt ends that go off on an angle and the other end of the grid is more solid with the frame wire jined in hte middle with a metal clamp.

2. Should I take the seat all the way out? and if so, do I work from the top by taking out the seat foam, etc. or is it better to flip the seat upsidedown?

Any help would be appreacitated.
