My (84 manual trans) has a flakey OD...
sometimes comes on sometimes not
sometimes turns off sometimes not
Not a really big deal for me as I hardly get above 60 mph
I will solder the relay soon and commence the trouble shooting from there

So the ponder is this...
the 4th gear interlock does not work
i.e. I can engage the OD in any gear (sometimes).
I thought this was kind of neat before I knew
there was supposed to be a lockout...
a dual range passenger car tranny... Cool

But now that I hear that the OD isn't as strong as the gear box I worry
because lower gears have torque multiplication.
To my mind this will eat the OD for lunch so
I have been avoiding using the OD
