Horn button- my first Volvo repair one year ago 700 1990

It's been a whole year now since I have owned my first Volvo. It's been challenging but I am determined to stay on top of repairs since I fully expect to get at least 300k or more out of the car. When I bought the car the right hand horn button did not activate the horn. I checked with the Volvo dealer and they wanted $26 for a new plastic button. I decided to try and fix it myself. I pried it off and noticed that the small tab on the back side had melted flat. I took out my 5 minute epoxy and installed a new tab, let it dry, and now the button has worked everytime for one year. I have gotten frustrated with many of the improvements I have attempted but like all of you other Bricksters I have decided not to let my Volvo get the best of me. So like all of you I have this determination to do whatever it takes to fix any problem without having to take it into the garage, and imagine my worst nightmare come true, to actually pay someone to fix it! Of course if it were not for Brickboard I wouldn't have a clue what to do and I would have been back to some other lesser version of a car long before now. I believe my Volvo is a good car and I'm going to treat her well. I feel she will respond in kind.
