Hello All. I posted this on the 200 forum but I'd appreciate any insight anybody might have here too.
A couple of years ago my wife's 244 started running cool all the time. I went to change the thermostat and to my surpise I found the intalled thermostat was pysically broken. One of the brass brackets that hold the spring and valve part of the assembly into the houseing was broken. I thought that was strange but figured it was a one in a million anomaly.
So now my wife has a 945. And Guess What- The car started running cool-but this time the theremostat came out in 2wo pieces! I don't know the brand of the parts removed, and in each case I installed a Volvo replacement.
Is this a common problem? Or am I just one lucky guy?
It's Jim
