Electrode breaks off from Spark Plug 200 1987

I have a 1987 Volvo 244 GL and the Electrode on the #1 spark plug has broken off completely from the spark plug 3 times over the past 8 months.
I am using Bosch plugs.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
