Electrode breaks off from Spark Plug 200 1987

I had a similar problem with an old Cherokee. I would close the plug gap instead of break it off though. Mine was caused from pistons breaking apart and metal bouncing around and then going through the valves. The only solution was a full rebuild. Are you able to retrieve the broken pieces? If not, damage is being done. You should at least pull the head to get an idea.

Hopefully someone else has a more positive idea.
