Hi there volvo dudes!
It's a balmy 13 degrees F outside lovely minneapolis and i have no garage. =)
After sitting for a week without running.. my girlfriends '92 240 (130k miles) will not start. It cranks over fine. It even sputtered a little every other attempt at starting. I am unsure if i can hear the pump running. I forget how loud it is and it's not real obvious that it is running or not. Is it real faint?
I put some fuel line deicer in and let it sit with no effect after another attempt.
I checked the fuel pump relay and it was clicking fine when i turned it over. The fuse was also not blown.
Tommorrow morning i will verify spark. But it has new plugs, cap and rotor so i am thinking that's not the problem.
It's odd that the problem just popped up from the new super low temps, that's why i thought it might be water in the lines or something. Now since it sputtered a bit i feel like it might be the fuel filter. ~It's underneath the rear seat outside right? brrrrr!
Anyone have some suggestions. Finals are over this next week and she wants her car running. Do autozones and the like have fuel filters and pumps on the shelf if i do find out that's the problem?
Any suggestions?
Thanks alot!
