I have a 1987 740 GLE which has various problems one of which is heat!
This car does/did have A/C but hasn't worked for a few years. The heater has worked fine until recently when the knob came off the lever on the bottom row of the Heating/Ventilation control (The Cooler-Warmer lever) tried to put it back on but kept coming off now lost, so I just moved that lever by hand, which wasn't that easy because it is recessed and/or bent, so I started using a screwdriver to adjust it. Bad idea as now I can't reach that lever, it has disappeared behind that slot, maybe bent, but cant feel it or see it back there. So the air blows cold, whatever the setting,heat or defroster, & not too pleasant. Have limited funds now & wasa wondering how I might be able to get back there, or any advice appreciated..thanks1
