1988 4:10 rear axle search/replacement/repair help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 700

Good evening!

Does anyone know where i can purchase a decent used 4:10 ratio rear axle for my 1988 740 GLE Wagon (8 valve non-turbo)? It only has 200,000 miles on it. I reside in the northeast sector of the country. Also would it be feasible to just order the parts and get the repairs done? How much time/expense. The car is at the point that it can't be pushed backwards. Did the transmission get damaged? I purchased the vehicle for no money! All else is functional and in excellent condition. Please all responses and or suggestions are welcomed.The last owner apparently neglected this incredible machine!!!!!!!!!!!!
