Changing brake fluid 700

Since my 740 GLE has only been driven 5,000 miles in the last 6 years (oil sticker, oil not changed in 6yrs!!) I am going to change the fluid. I am also needing to bleed the brakes, they work well but are spongy. So according to the FAQ I need to "Separate reservoir from master cylinder by gently pressing sideways and pulling out. "

Can someone give me a little help here. Pressing sideways? Does this mean to press the resivoir in towords the engine and then pull to the front of the car? Mine can move inward, but I am afraid to move it too far and break the plastic reservoir. As expected the Chilton's manal gave no advice, just remove it.

I am sort of leaning to just removing all possible fluid with turkey baster, would there be any benefit to removing the reservoir over sucking it out?
