I decided to take apart my distributor to see if I could further cripple my wagon. I've got it all apart and nicely cleaned but I'm curious about if there is an alternate way of re-assembling it. The magnet piece has a little stud attached to it which was connected to the centrifugal advance push lever. In this way the magnet can rotate slightly on top of another metal plate. However....... this stud on the magnet also fits entirely to perfectly into a hole on that bottom plate which would lock it into place and prevent any rotation. My guess is that this would be the emission-less way of building it (without the centrifugal advance valve). Could I do it this way? I'm asking because I'd like to ditch my entire emission system which is obsolete and unattainable. Suggestions????? Also, thanks to nickvjr and bob for my last question on the vacuum system.
