Fuses 200

I have a '79 245dl and my Heater Fan fuse (#3 - 16A) blew out three times today. I live in Rochester, NY and it is very cold, so the fan was on high. I noticed that the fuse was EXTREMELY hot the first time to change it and there seemed to be discoloration on the fuse connections. I changed the blower motors about six months ago. What is going on, and how do i fix it? Thanks in afvance for you help.
My car does eat fuses, but not three in one day.
