Taillight and SERVICE ENGINE light 200

Two-stage question (sorry)..car is a 1989 240.

1. My left rear taillight keeps dying. Any thoughts as to
how to track down the problem?

2. Probably easier: how do i reset my SERVICE ENGINE light?
