I am trying to replace the oil pan gasket on a 1989 B280F V-6 engine. Although, I'm running into a small problem get the pan out. The stabilizer bar prevents me from dropping the pan straight down, while the the oil pump pick-up strainer prevents me from pulling the pan horizontally. I wondering if there's a preferred way to jack up the car. I noticed when I use the jacking plate behind the oil pan, that the stabilizer bar shifts depending on how high I lift the front end. Any tips would be appreciated.
